World Diabetes Day

Ok so we all know about it!!  You just have to lift up a newspaper or turn on your TV!! The diabetes epidemic is a hot topic of news all over the world.  Yes there is no doubt that people are slowly becoming more aware of their health but as a nation we still have a long way to go.

Our niche here at Skye Fitness is fat loss.  Our aim is to help people become their best and this not only includes how they look and feel but more importantly their health.  I believe the future of the health service is physical activity!! In the near future when you visit your doctor with general health problems they will encourage you to use your body to improve your health.  This is the way it has to be, and in many practices is already being carried out!  The days of prescribing drugs to cover up the problem temporarily are slowly retiring to a new breed of health professionals.

Thursday 14th November is World Diabetes Day and we want to play our part in creating awareness of the effects of diabetes and its complications amongst the general population and professionals in a range of sectors.

Skye Fitness will be offering a personalised body MOT all day on the 14th November.  We will assess your weight, body fat, waist circumference and blood pressure.  This assessment should take no longer than 10 minutes and will be available to all our members, their friends, family members and colleagues.

Please help us create awareness by speaking to people you feel may benefit from this free MOT!!

Look after your body, it’s the only one you have!

See you in the trenches…
